Lunch in Cinderella's castle

 Ready to go meet Cinderella!
 There she is!
Addie and Levi were given a wand and a sword once we were seated.  Then, the kids anxiously awaited the princess to visit our table.  We knew other at least 2 other princesses would be there, but did not know which ones-Cinderella was the only guaranteed princess that would be there. But we were pleasantly surprised that all of Addie's favorite princesses happened to be there that day!
 Jasmine came first
Ever since Addie could talk, she has always said that Ariel and Jasmine are her favorite princesses.
There's Ariel!  Funny side note: Ariel happened to call Levi "muscles" and both kids can't stop talking about that now.
Addie was loving every minute of it
Snow White was a hit, but moreso for Levi than Addie
She gave Levi a kiss on the forehead, and he was in love!
Our smitten boy.  He's truly a kiss-loving boy.  Dangerous.
He was so sad when that lipstick washed off in the bath.
Addie was excited to give each of the princesses a hug-this is the only one we got on camera.  She did such a great job of not being shy when each of the princesses came to our table.
Addie even got a surprise birthday dessert...a cupcake and ice cream!  And our server even sang to her and she got to blow out candles!
Her cupcake topper had Minnie ears, which she loved
Headed down the steps, leaving Cinderella's castle
This lunch was by far the most expensive lunch we have ever bought (especially for a 4 year old), but was a GREAT birthday present for Addie.  Disney definitely did the lunch well and made it a great experience I'm sure we will talk about for years and years to come.  We thought we did it for Addie, but I would say it was a huge hit for Levi as well!

Disney World-Part 1

The evening of Addie's birthday, we told the kids we would be going to Disney World in a week.  Our birthday present to Addie was to have lunch in Cinderella's castle with Cinderella as well as some other princesses.  Addie didn't have a huge reaction initially, but was definitely excited and the excitement built as the week went by.

Here we are, boarding the ferry to go to Magic Kingdom

We were ready for a full day of fun!
Addie specifically asked to have her picture taken with the castle in the background.  She is wearing 2 pins, one of which says "Happy Birthday Addie."  Disney employees were obviously trained to keep an eye out for these pins as Addie probably had more than 50 employees wish her "happy birthday" throughout the course of the day.  Not only that, there was a quartet that even sang "happy birthday" to her!
We went to Belle's interactive "show" which was fun.  Addie was scared at first because she thought the beast was going to show up, but thankfully Belle convinced her to come walk with her to the front.
The carousel was a hit!
Levi enjoying a show in front of the castle...
Until the wicked witch of the west showed up.  This is how he coped with his fear-much better than Addie who, while I was taking this picture, was screaming and clutching onto me for dear life.  I scanned the crowd of countless kids and not one of them (other than our own) seemed to be scared.

More Disney pics to come!

April 4

Addie had a great 4th birthday.  She invited a couple of her closest friends over to play and celebrate with her.  Here she is, waiting for her friends to arrive.
 They painted each others nails
And picked out jewelry to put on
Then Prince Levi put on their lost slipper
 Pretty cute
Then they all went to the ball and danced!
 Can't forget presents!
Addie is now ready to go fishing!
She chose chocolate chocolate cupcakes for her birthday dessert
The whole (all but 2 moms and a baby) group
For dinner, Addie asked for ribs, blueberries, and corn
 Another round on presents!
Levi giving Addie birthday kisses
 Money!
 And another cupcake!

Haircut Time!

Addie hates to wear a ponytail.  However, warm weather will be coming soon (at least we hope!), and I told Addie she would either have to start wearing a ponytail or get her hair cut short.  She chose to get the haircut.  In the past, I have cut her hair.  But, I decided it was time to have someone else do it-she's got some thick hair, and I am in no way qualified to be cutting it!  So, I took her to the local community college's cosmetology school for her haircut.  She was so excited!  Here she is waiting to be called back.
Levi can't be left out, so he wanted his before picture taken as well
Can you tell she is excited?  Here she is in the "big chair"
It was in now way a quick haircut, but Addie was so patient and seemed to love every minute of it.
 The final product!
I asked Addie how she liked getting her haircut at a store instead of at home.  She said "I think going to a store to get my haircut is the better option.  I want to do that next time my hair is long."
 Again, can't leave Levi out!

Noah's Birthday Party

Our neighbor and friend, Noah, just turned 2!  He has his birthday party at "The Little Gym" and we got to go play!  Addie and Levi had a great time celebrating Noah's birthday with some gymnastics!

Addie was nervous to try the balance beam on her own at first, but by the end was doing it no problem and even jumping off on her own!

 The birthday boy!
