Mother's Day

The kids (and Daddy) surprised me on Mother's Day with a delicious, hot breakfast in bed!
 My sweet kiddos
Addie asked to pose this way for the pic
So Levi of course had to do the same thing!
I am so thankful for Addie and Levi, and the privilege of being their mom.  I am so blessed!

End of Awana 2013

Addie and Levi both attended Awana on Wednesday nights at our church this year.  They both loved it and learned so much!

Levi completed his year as a Puggle
And Addie finished her first year as a Cubbie
At awards night, the kids got to go up on the stage and sing their songs and say a few verses for the parents.  Levi is apparently very scared to be on stage.  He is the one puggle who actually knew all the songs when the year started (due to Addie), but you wouldn't know it at Awards night.  He cried the whole time.
Shy little Addie, however, did great!  She followed her friend, Addisyn over to the side of the stage, which worked out great so that we could see her!  She sang and did all the hand motions!

Random

Here are some random pics from the end of April and beginning of May.  Enjoy!

Some ducklings were born in our neighborhood-they are a few days old here
Addie went for her 4 year old well check up and was diagnosed with asthma.  Thankfully, it is under control!
We were excited to finally be able to go hiking (it seems to rain just about every Saturday!), but sad that we had to bundle up this much in May.  Crazy!
 The waterfall
I think Levi could throw rocks into water all day every day if he had the opportunity
Addie finished preschool for the year!
Bob had lost his ring in the ocean while we were in Florida and asked a man with a metal detector to look for it.  Much to our surprise, the man found it hours after we left and mailed it to us!
 We bought a van!

Final Magic Kingdom Photos

The rest of the day at Magic Kingdom was spent on rides and watching the parade.  Here is Levi read to ride his 1st roller coaster.  He loved it (and so did Addie!)!  He was barely tall enough to ride this one, Goofey's roller coaster.
Waiting for the parade to begin
 Woody!
 Jessi
Addie did this for a lot of the parade
And this for the scary moments...such as when the beast rode by
 Dumbo!
I remember this being my favorite ride from when my dad took me to Disney World when I was little, so we new we wanted to ride Dumbo.
Addie was a crazy driver (even though she claimed it was a crazy car!)
Levi was a maniac as well
 Sweet kiddos
We took a break by taking the train around the park
 In front of the castle
 Aladdin's magic carpet ride
Time to head back to the hotel and get some rest.  It was a very fun-filled day!

Lunch in Cinderella's castle

 Ready to go meet Cinderella!
 There she is!
Addie and Levi were given a wand and a sword once we were seated.  Then, the kids anxiously awaited the princess to visit our table.  We knew other at least 2 other princesses would be there, but did not know which ones-Cinderella was the only guaranteed princess that would be there. But we were pleasantly surprised that all of Addie's favorite princesses happened to be there that day!
 Jasmine came first
Ever since Addie could talk, she has always said that Ariel and Jasmine are her favorite princesses.
There's Ariel!  Funny side note: Ariel happened to call Levi "muscles" and both kids can't stop talking about that now.
Addie was loving every minute of it
Snow White was a hit, but moreso for Levi than Addie
She gave Levi a kiss on the forehead, and he was in love!
Our smitten boy.  He's truly a kiss-loving boy.  Dangerous.
He was so sad when that lipstick washed off in the bath.
Addie was excited to give each of the princesses a hug-this is the only one we got on camera.  She did such a great job of not being shy when each of the princesses came to our table.
Addie even got a surprise birthday dessert...a cupcake and ice cream!  And our server even sang to her and she got to blow out candles!
Her cupcake topper had Minnie ears, which she loved
Headed down the steps, leaving Cinderella's castle
This lunch was by far the most expensive lunch we have ever bought (especially for a 4 year old), but was a GREAT birthday present for Addie.  Disney definitely did the lunch well and made it a great experience I'm sure we will talk about for years and years to come.  We thought we did it for Addie, but I would say it was a huge hit for Levi as well!

Disney World-Part 1

The evening of Addie's birthday, we told the kids we would be going to Disney World in a week.  Our birthday present to Addie was to have lunch in Cinderella's castle with Cinderella as well as some other princesses.  Addie didn't have a huge reaction initially, but was definitely excited and the excitement built as the week went by.

Here we are, boarding the ferry to go to Magic Kingdom

We were ready for a full day of fun!
Addie specifically asked to have her picture taken with the castle in the background.  She is wearing 2 pins, one of which says "Happy Birthday Addie."  Disney employees were obviously trained to keep an eye out for these pins as Addie probably had more than 50 employees wish her "happy birthday" throughout the course of the day.  Not only that, there was a quartet that even sang "happy birthday" to her!
We went to Belle's interactive "show" which was fun.  Addie was scared at first because she thought the beast was going to show up, but thankfully Belle convinced her to come walk with her to the front.
The carousel was a hit!
Levi enjoying a show in front of the castle...
Until the wicked witch of the west showed up.  This is how he coped with his fear-much better than Addie who, while I was taking this picture, was screaming and clutching onto me for dear life.  I scanned the crowd of countless kids and not one of them (other than our own) seemed to be scared.

More Disney pics to come!
