Angove family reunion 2012

The Angove family reunion was a couple of weeks ago, once again held at Hungry Mother State Park.  We got to see lots of family, spend some time at the "beach" playing in the sand and swimming in the lake, go jump on inflatables (new this year), and Addie even got to sleep on the top bunk of bunk beds!  Thanks to Aunt Emily for the pics-we somehow never even got ours out of the camera bag the entire time we were there.  At least it's easy to share pics these days!  Here are some pics from our time there.

Trying out his new float-it was a hit!
Bob loves to rough house with the boys
Levi had no fear and would have loved to go much deeper by himself
Gotta love that Uncle Corey is jumping in the jump house also...
 Levi loved that slide!
Stopping for a quick sip of water!
 Putt-putt time!
 Got it!
They had lots and lots of fun!

Olympics

The Olympics are beginning this Friday, so we decided to have a little Olympics of our own.  The kids made Olympic flags, then marched in a circle holding them while singing "Jesus Loves Me" for our opening ceremonies.
Then, the games began.  One game was to try to balance a plastic egg on a spoon while walking across the room and back.
Next, was snack time (they have that in the Olympics, right?)
Miss Tiffany brought cookies decorated as Olympic rings.  I apparently forgot to take a picture of all the rings, but here is one of them:
Lastly, the kids got their medals.  I took each of their individual pictures for them to remember their first Olympics.  It's hard to believe none of these kids were alive when the last summer Olympics were going on!

The rest of June

I have been a little preoccupied with other things in our life recently and have really put the blog on the back burner.  However, I am ready to play some catch up.  So, here are pics to summarize the rest of June that I never got to.

Fun with friends at our house.  These two girls, Addisyn and Summer, are 2 of Addie's best friends.  They play incredibly well together...and it really works out that their moms are great friends also!  For now, Levi is the tag-along brother with them, but it won't be long before Levi is teaching Zane and Dylan (the baby brothers) how to play like a boy!
The Snead cousins came for a quick overnight visit.  No, they did not all sleep in the same bed!  For anyone wondering, pictured from left to right with ages: Vera-6, Eden-5, Levi-22 months, Addie-3, Kai-4, Tobey-4
Addie went to VBS at our church for the first time and had a blast.  I kept on getting bits and pieces of things she would do throughout the day, but never got the full story.  That was a little weird for me since I am generally with her all day every day and know exactly what she is doing all the time.  But, it was a great week for all of us and we are already looking forward to doing it again next year!
On the last day of VBS, we came back at night for the "finale."  We got to hear the songs the kids had been singing-Addie was into it!  So much so that we bought the cd of VBS music and Addie wants to listen to it every day!
Levi absolutely loves to help unload the dishwasher.  He's actually pretty good at it-I just always have to rush to try to get all the breakable dishes out before he grabs them!
Daddy has been wanting to take Addie camping for quite some time.  He finally set a date and did it...despite the heat.  They set up the tent in our backyard since it was their first time (wanted the option of coming inside to their beds if things went downhill during the night).  Addie was so excited!
Ready for bed.  Addie's bedtime is 8:00.  She was up well past 10:00 that night because she wanted to "see the dark."  She got to see it!
The night went well and both Daddy and Addie were still asleep when I went to check on them in the morning.  Too bad taking this picture woke Addie up.  After this successful camping experience, I'm pretty sure Daddy wants to take us all camping sometime soon!
