Random

It's still winter, so not a whole lot is going on around here. But, here are some pics off the camera:

"Smiley" as Pops nicknamed him, which is very fitting. Most times, Levi is smiling. In fact, he even smiles while whining/crying at times.
Nana and Olivia came for a visit a week and a half ago-everyone was worn out by the end of it, but fun was had by all:
The men of the house:
TV buddies (sorry Addie is not fully clothed):
This kid looks good in a baseball cap, in my opinion! It also helps hide the balding problem he has had recently:

Since not a lot is going on and we are stuck in the house anyways (yes, there is supposed to be more snow coming this afternoon and tonight!), we have decided to do a trial run for potty training. Addie has recently shown some interest and seems like she may be capable of succeeding, but we'll see what happens. We are committed to 3 days (not nights) of panties and potties-no diapers. If we are making progress, we'll continue. If not, we'll put it all away and wait until she is older...since she is only 22 months.

Radical-the shop

I know it has been a while since I last posted, so I need to get some pictures and video on here, but this is not going to be a post like that. I have been meaning to do this post for a while now and am just now getting around to it. I have a good friend from college, Catherine Parks (formerly Strode), who recently read a book called "Radical." After reading it, she decided to start a blog and online "shop" where she could sell things she (or other people) made and use the profit as a donation towards a "legitimate ministry or organization." I just wanted to get the word out about this so that people can either donate things they have made or can look around the shop and see if there is anything they are interested in buying. I know any money that is used for a purchase from the "shop" will be used wisely to further God's Kingdom. Even if you are not capable of making anything to donate, and have no interest in buying anything, you may be interested in simply following this blog as you see how God uses Catherine's willingness to serve Him in this way. So, here are the web addresses:

Snow, again!

We got a dusting of snow Friday night and Saturday morning, but the real snow got us Sunday night while we slept. We had heard the weathermen warn of the big storm approaching, but were curious as to how it would play out-you never know how the accumulations are going to end up. We woke up Monday morning to about 7 inches of powdery snow on the ground. We couldn't build a snowman or throw snowballs, but it was great snow for Addie to "run" around in. She fell down countless times, but loved every second of it. All 4 of us went out for a while in the morning, then Bob took Addie back out later in the afternoon (he was off work, which was fun!). He said he kept asking Addie is she was cold, which she would reply "yes", but then when he asked her if she was ready to go inside, she would say "no." Honest girl. I'm glad she had so much fun in the snow-I think we're going to have a lot of it this winter! I take that back, we have already had a lot of it this winter-I think we'll still get more, though!

So happy:

Rice Cereal

It is hard to believe, but Levi is already (almost) 5 months old! We were told at his 4-month doctor's appointment that he could start rice cereal anytime. Since Christmas was approaching at the time and we were going to be traveling, we decided to wait until we got back home to start him on it. So, Levi had rice cereal for the first time about a week and a half ago. Initially, he didn't know what to do and just spit a lot of it out. The following couple of days, he seemed to eat some, but after that, he has hated it. The boy is a mover, which makes it nearly impossible to get something (like a spoon) in his mouth if he doesn't want it. He has come very close to getting out of his Bumbo seat, trying to get away from the spoon full of rice cereal. I think we are ready to forget the rice cereal and start him on baby food, in hopes that he will like that better.

Here he is after his first spoonful:

Christmas #3, Cumming, GA

And finally (now that it's mid-January), the last of our Christmas pictures. Once again, I didn't take hardly any pictures, but instead, depended on everyone else to take pictures and share them. So, here is what I took.

Addie and Olivia ready to begin opening presents on "Christmas" (which happened to be another holiday-New Years Day):

Christmas #2: Roanoke, VA

Addie slept in Christmas morning (we woke her up at 10:00 AM!), so we got a late start to the festivities. In fact, Levi had already taken a morning nap before we were ready! We had a fun time, though.

Christmas Eve

All 6 of the Angove grandchildren, listening to the Christmas story out of Luke 2:
Time to open presents from aunts, uncles, cousins, Pops, and Dottie:
A new ride-on toy, which was a big hit (despite the look on her face in this picture):
Levi was napping while Addie opened her presents, which worked out well, so she could help him:
Very Christmasy:
Levi with his opened gifts...I think he's going to have to grow into the hat. The kids both got my tiny head:
